When Nate and Katie asked me to be their wedding photographer, I was instantly excited! I knew it their wedding about be full of laughter, good people and amazing food and it did not disappoint. They choose one of their favorite restaurants Campagnolo for both their ceremony and reception and it goes to show you how beautiful a non-traditional wedding location can be! Nate and Katie choose to do a first look, which is such a great way to create an intimate moment between a bride and groom. Photos followed at Granville Island, and I must say although there’s always a chance of rain in May (but who are we kidding, there’s always a chance of rain in every month in Vancouver), it is such a beautiful time to get married as all the flowers are in bloom! They ended their night by gathering everyone up and heading over to Steamworks Pub with the Vancouver Trolley Company.
It was an amazing day, and I’m so excited to share some photos from this lovely wedding.
From the bride… “Nate and I decided to have a small and intimate wedding with close family and friends. As two Vancouver foodies, we decided to have the ceremony and dinner at one of our favourite restaurants in the city – Campagnolo Restaurant. We loved the exposed brick, relaxed atmosphere and of course the deliciously authentic Italian cuisine. Who wouldn’t want to eat pizza on their wedding day? Tea lights and simple flower arrangements in mason jars created a romantic and warm space for the celebration. Our wedding day far exceeded all of my expectations. If only we could do it all over again…”
